We hope our mid-winter newsletter finds you safe and well. As we say goodbye to the first half of the year, we look to the future with optimism, preparing for the new normal. As COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease, we are planning to safely return to campus under the University’s carefully managed stages, gradually recommencing research, teaching and learning activities on campus.

In 2019, NICM Health Research Institute and its clinic, Western Sydney Integrative Health, were recipients of the Dry July Foundation grant program, which enabled support for free oncology massage, acupuncture and yoga specifically for people with cancer, or people in remission from cancer.

Western Sydney University has been awarded two significant medical research grants worth over $2.1 million to further develop innovative strategies and approaches towards dementia prevention and treatment of atrial fibrillation, both common and devastating conditions that cut short lives across the world.
