14 August 2015Media Release: Higher Degree Research students in the field of nutritional and herbal medicine are set to benefit from three new scholarships announced today by the National Institute of Complementary Medicine.

The Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) recently announced in Singapore at the 17th ARMS 2015 Conference and AGM its newly elected Executive for 2015/2016, with NICM's Managing Director, Janice Besch appointed as President-Elect.

News Limited's Daily Telegraph recently wrote a feature piece on Western Sydney and a bold plan to create an innovation corridor through the region, and becoming Australia's own Silicon Valley.

Host, Linda Mottram, discussed with Professor Bensoussan the developments and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine to set up a new Chinese Medicine research-led clinic in Sydney.

The NICM and its achievements were spoken of highly by the House of Representatives and the Members of Parliament from Macarthur, Throsby, Bennelong, Kingsford Smith, and Lindsay.

NICM's early-career researchers, Genevieve Steiner and Dr Jennifer Hunter have been selected to present their research at the FameLab
state finals, held on the 24 March at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum.

In March, the Weekend Post, CairnsEye reporter, Claudia Liebenberg wrote a feature article on complementary medicine and its place in modern healthcare titled Many Roads to Health.

SBS World News recently aired a segment about the $1.3 million research deal between Sydney University and Blackmores.
