Rodney Unsworth

Advisory Board Chair, NICM Health Research Institute

Rodney Unsworth joined the NICM Health Research Institute as a Board member in 2018 and subsequently was appointed Chair of the Board in 2020. He brings over four decades of managerial, executive, investment and advisory knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He served in leadership roles in research, manufacturing, and executive roles in Australia, Asia, USA, and Europe.

Mr Unsworth has held Board roles with several pharmaceutical companies and prominent Board positions with APMA (now Medicines Australia), Edith Cowan University, the Western Australian Science and Technology Council, and the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) when he served as a Board member for 12 years.

Mr Unsworth also dedicates time to community work as a Director of The Unsworth Foundation, and as a volunteer and vice president of Umina Community Group.
