Carl Gibson

Advisory Board Member, NICM Health Research Institute

Carl Gibson is the chief executive officer of Complementary Medicines Australia and joins NICM Health Research Institute as a member of the Advisory Board. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Mr Gibson brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience in both the public and private sectors, where he has specialised in regulation, public policy and campaign communications.

Mr Gibson began his career in the United Kingdom as a public servant before joining the Conservative Party as a media and political adviser. He served during John Major's term as the British Prime Minister. Prior to his 2013 appointment as chief executive of Complementary Medicines Australia, Mr Gibson led brand and communications at Australia's leading natural health company Blackmores.
