The Commonwealth Government will provide $4 million to establish Australia’s first ever National Institute for Complementary Medicine – which will research the benefits of alternative medicines – with an emphasis on clinical trials and studies.
Minister for Health and Ageing, Tony Abbott, assisted by Federal Spokesperson for Western Sydney, Pat Farmer, today made the announcement at the University of Western Sydney (UWS) – where the Institute will be located.
