Ms Rhonda Hawkins (Chair)
Ms Hawkins is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Corporate Strategy and Services) at the University of Western Sydney (UWS). She is the Secretary to the University’s Board of Trustees and leads the Division of Corporate Strategy and Services which comprises Human Resources; Student and Academic Administration; Student Support Services; Marketing; Media and Communication; Strategic Planning and Quality Management; Management Information; Professional Development; Records and Archive Management; Policy and Governance; Office of University Legal Counsel; Audit and Risk Management; Equity and Diversity; and including support of the Board of Trustees and Board Committees and Executive/Senior Management Committees.
Rhonda has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) also from the University of Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and a member of the NSW Council of the AICD.
Professor Andrew Cheetham
Professor Cheetham is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Western Sydney leading strategic development and management of research and research training in the University, with the aim of providing a research-rich environment, valued for the quality, distinctiveness and impact of its research programs and training. Prior to this Professor Cheetham was the Pro Vice-Chancellor – Research & Information Management at the University of Canberra with responsibilities for research and research training, and as the University’s Chief Information Officer. Before that Professor Cheetham held the positions of Deputy Director of the Division of Business, Law & Information Sciences, and Head of School of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
Professor Beryl Hesketh
Professor Hesketh is Executive Dean of the College of Health and Science. She was previously the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences and Technology) at the University of Sydney where she managed five large faculties (Architecture, Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Engineering, Science and Veterinary Science). She was also the Dean of Science at the University of Sydney for four years and Head of Department of Psychology at Macquarie University. Professor Hesketh is an eminent and currently active researcher. She has published widely internationally, and has been a recipient of Australian Research Council (ARC) funding continuously since 1987. She has also served on, and chaired, one of the ARC Large Grants panels. Through her role in several cooperative research centres and on the boards of spin-off companies, she has experience in the commercialisation of intellectual property and the creation of productive university-industry links. Professor Hesketh is a reviewer for the Australian University Quality Authority, with current and past participation in reviews of universities in New Zealand and Australia.
